Sexy Smokey Eye Makeup
So what defines a smokey eye? Your idea of what a smokey eye might be could be totally different of someone else's version. When I think of a smokey eye, I personally think of dark eye shadow on the lid, and keeping shadow dark around the lash line.
Smokey eye makeup is traditioanlly done with dark grey eye shadow, and black eye shadow. However, smokey eye makeup looks great done with deep plum shadows, silvers, greens, bronze, coppers and browns.
For a basic smokey eye:
1. Apply a base by using an eye shadow primer, concealer, or creme eye shadow.
2. With a flat eye shadow brush, pat on a dark grey, smoke or black eyeshadow on the lid up to the crease.
3. Next, take a medium fluff eye shadow and use a medium to light taupe or brown in the crease. This will blend the dark lid shadow, and create a soft crease.
4. Smudge dark lid color in the bottom lash line.
5. For a more intense look, take a black pencil or gel liner (my preference) and line the top and inside rim of the eye.
6. Optional: Finish with a pair of false eye lashes, or a few individuals after applying mascara.
For something different: Green Eyes: Try using dark burgandies and warm browns. Blue Eyes: Try using coppers with bronze or dark chocolate browns. Brown Eyes: Try using navy or green for smokey shadow.
