So what are lash extensions? How are they different than the typical strip or flair lashes?? Lash extensions are semi-permanent and involve a much lengthier process to apply.
What makes lash extension so natural looking is that a single synthetic lash is applied to an individual's own lash. A special adhesive is used and is applied by the technician. The adhesive is fast drying and is not clumpy or drippy. It's such a minute amount, but plenty for the attachment of the extension.
Lash extensions can last 4-6 weeks. Since you have a natural lash cycle of 60-90 days (from the time the lash starts to grow to when it falls out naturallly) it is necessary to get a fill or replacements. Those who take good care of the lashes won't need as many. However those who wear alot of mascara over them or aren't gentle will need to get fills more often.
My personal preference is to find someone who has been certified in Xtreme lashes. They have the best formulas (in my opinion) and education. They also have excellent training and require everyone to get training before they sell their products to anyone. This ensures that if you have someone certified by Xtreme Lashes, then they are qualified to apply them.
Being certified in lash extensions, here are the pros and cons to lash extensions:
Pros:
1. Have longer lashes
2. Very natural looking.
3. Choice of length and amount of lashes applied
4. Adds some fullness
5. Lasts 4-6 weeks
6. Waterproof
7. No need to wear mascara
