How to Apply Dramatic Eye Makeup

What makes eye makeup dramatic? Usually you will find that contrast, or bold colors will make for a dramatic look. Here are some of my favorite eye makeup looks when I want to go bold:

Bold Colors: Many of us have those crazy colors in our makeup drawer but never know how to wear them.  Rather than trying to combine a bright yellow, bright blue, neon orange with another color, wear the shadow alone to make a color statement. For example, make your eyeliner nice and neat. Smudge a bright teal into the bottom underneath. This adds a pop of color rather than wearing it all over and looking like a clown.

Sexy eyeliner: You can't go wrong with a black gel liner. Gel liners are easier to use than some liquids because they dry faster and go on smoother. Get some foxy Marilyn eyes by making a statement with your eyeliner.

Black eye shadow: Using black eyeshadow is sure to add some smokeyness to your look. For easy application, and to avoid making a mess, try using a pointed definer and apply by lashline on top and bottom. Extend past the outer lashes to elongate the eye.
